It's taken me a few weeks to share, but Julius has

It's taken me a few weeks to share, but Julius has crossed the rainbow bridge.

I feel like he's been by my side my whole life, and basically he has, my whole adult life. I got him as a pup after moving back to Nevada County the winter I turned 25, bought my trailer and started my farm...he was the missing piece that first spring, and it was some sweet magic that brought us together.

I couldn't have found a better companion for the last 16 years. He's been there thru every big transition, every grief, every farm season and every afternoon at the river (until the last few years when he transitioned to old man Jujee. But then he was always back at home howling for my return, and there to run circles and bark at my arrival home).
It's amazing how wonderful his life got to be, how much we brought to one another, how connected we were, and how long we got to be together. It's also just heart achingly sad that he's gone. Grief is grief, everything can be fine and everything will eventually be fine, but it still hurts.

I was looking thru photos and just found so many good ones of him with all the people in his life that loved him. He was a very loved dog, and it always made me extremely happy to watch my friends greet him and pick him up and scratch him behind the ears. He's literally also photo-bombing every single photo on my phone. I love that about him.

I miss you Jujee. Thanks for being my person.

We've been offering this subscription to the Nevada City area for 15 years now, and it continues to be a highlight of our business. It's our chance to provide gorgeous fresh flower bouquets direct to our community and we love connecting with people in this way. Pick up will be the weekend of April 25th-27th downtown Nevada City at a private residence (you will receive an address when you check out on our website).

All our dahlias are grown, stored and divided by us here at Soil Sisters Farm. Plant these and you'll have incredible blooms all summer and into the fall. And dahlias are the best, they multiply every year! So dig them up and store and share with friends the following spring, or just expand your own stock each year!

Orders for 10 tubers or more receive a 10% discount and orders for 25 tubers or more receive a 20% discount. Each order comes with a printed planting guide too, bonus!
